New Perceptions, Inc. FunRaiser at Hofbrauhaus in Newport New Perceptions' FUNraiser on June 27, 2007 at America's first authentic Hofbrauhaus in Newport, KY. This year, we were pleasantly surprised to see nearly 75 guests to stop in for lunch, in support of New Perceptions! Agency information, pictures and newsletters, were available in the foyer, and tempting raffle prizes displayed for supporters to take a chance to win; A Harvey's Seatbelt Purse (valued $104.00), A Silverlake Rec. Center Family Pass or a certificate to Beef O'Brady's Sports Pub. Thanks to everyone who came back for an evening for great music & fun! Our FUNraising efforts rendered nearly $300.00, all of which will directly benefit the children and adult clients of New Perceptions.
Spring 2007 Events: YARD SALE-Fundraiser A Success! On Saturday, June 9th, the weather cooperated as we held the New Perceptions Yard Sale Fundraiser! We made nearly $1,700.00 thanks to the hard work of Sean and Misty Haas, who organized this event! But wait! There is more to the story of this event...The items that did not sell were donated to Metro Harvest Church of God in Cincinnati, OH. They, in turn, will hold a yard sale fundraiser to help the youth of the inner city, and they, in turn donated 10% of their proceeds back to us as well! The yard sale was such a great success; we plan to make it an annual event! So start thinking about what you want to donate for next year! Thank you to all of the staff, clients and supporters, who donated items, shopped and spent their cash! We could not have been successful without those who worked loading, organizing, setting up, cleaning up, or assisting with this event! THANK YOU!

Spring 2004 Events:
RiverWalk
"The RiverWalk was really fun, it was a great way to start my day, a comfortable walk in a beautiful setting, surrounded by my friends and family," said Chris Montello, NPI's Board of Directors President. The RiverWalk was not a timed event, but rather a family-friendly walk to promote awareness and inclusion of people with special needs, while helping to support the programs and services offered to the children and adults of New Perceptions.
The RiverWalk was definitely family-friendly; especially for the family of Vicki Wagner, NPI Adult Services client and RiverWalk Co-Chair, over 20 of Vicki's loved ones joined her on the walk and raised over $1,100.00 in her honor. Vicki and her family also won the prestigious title of Top Team Fundraiser. Sponsors included: ISOC.net, Karlo's Bistro Italia, The City of Newport, Prus Construction, Newport Drug Center, EGC Construction, South Bank, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Louis Trauth Dairy, Inc., Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital, Panera Bread, Stith, Conder & Wimsatt, PLLC and The Purple People Bridge.
Pictures include: Vicki's Family Finish Line, Chris and Family, NPI Adult Services Clients and Staff, Mayor Guidugli and Family, Walkers on Purple People Bridge, GateWay Rehabilitation Hospital
Spring Gala State Senate candidate Kathy Groob and her husband Jeff Groob, of Fort Mitchell, were in attendance and one of the evenings big winners when their raffle ticket was drawn for the 4ct. Diamond bracelet donated by Herzog Jewelers (Pic). Joyce Leach, of Lakeside Park, won the $1000.00 cash drawing. Guests departed the event with arms full of fun purchases from the Silent Auction tables that included items such as Mint Julep baskets, autographed sports memorabilia, and art work that was created by NPI clients.
The evening was a huge success for NPI and its clients, raising over $75,000.00, which will help support the programs and services offered to children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental retardation. "You don't throw a whole life away just cause it's banged up a little," a fitting line from the movie Seabiscuit, illustrates the spirit of the special needs children and adults of NPI. |
